OUR HISTORY

NCPAAA's timeline from incorporation to consistent community support and fundraising.

From Graduation to community impact!

The Northlake Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (NCPAAA) was born from a shared commitment to public safety and community partnership. Following the inaugural graduation of the Northlake Citizens Police Academy in November 2021, our founding members moved quickly to turn their training into action.

By December 2021, we officially incorporated as a non-profit, and within our first year, we achieved federal 501(c)(3) status. Our impact was felt immediately; in February 2022, we organized a landmark fundraiser that raised approximately $16,000 to support officers injured in the line of duty.

Today, the NCPAAA remains a vital bridge between the public and law enforcement. We continue to host monthly meetings and community events, providing consistent financial and volunteer support to ensure our officers have the backing they need to keep Northlake safe.

Who are the members?

The general membership of the NCPAAA consists exclusively of graduates of the Northlake Citizen's Police Academy. The Northlake Police Department typically holds a 9-week class, usually once per year, which includes both classroom instruction and field training. Contact the Northlake Police Department to learn more.

How do they become members?

To become a voting member, these graduates must pay their annual dues and be considered in good standing. Eligibility also requires individuals to be at least 18 years old and not have been convicted of a Class B Misdemeanor or higher, or any Felony.

Board of Directors

An Executive Board manages the affairs of the NCPAAA. No member of the Executive Board receives compensation. The length of term for Executive Board members is two years (2), with staggered expirations. Elections for the Executive Board are held annually at the January Membership meeting.
